A success that opens they way to a most promising 2010 edition

MONTREAL – For the first time, in 2009 The National Job Fair had the great privilege to welcome the Government of New Brunswick as an Associate Sponsor. Their involvement is a clear proof of trust and the recognition of the leading role the fair plays in the general public recruitment events in Quebec. Joined with 12 recruiting organizations from New Brunswick offering close to 400 jobs, the participation of the New Brunswick Government proved to be a very a successful initiative.

This significant involvement of the New Brunswick Government represents a message of confidence which also confirms the positioning of the National Job Fair as a leading event among the recruitment events in Quebec.

The New Brunswick Place was therefore created to gather the twelve organizations of this province that joined the Government in its recruiting mission. New Zones were also introduced to the Fair 2009, that is, the Health Zone, the Accounting, Finance & Insurance Zone, the Engineering Zone (Engineering Career Fair) and the Ontario Zone. The Centre for Professional Resumé Assessment presented in collaboration with Beaudoin Duhamel Transitions, was an activity really praised by candidates.

Furthermore, The National Job Fair and The National Education Fair were presented in two distinct halls, respectively, in the West Hall and the East Hall of Place Bonaventure. Two events presented jointly, a unique concept and the shared goal of providing visitors with the complete information on the employment market, career options, career re-orientation, career counseling services & training programs.

Employment and education are two inseparable worlds and the organizers are proud to have successfully reunited both under one single roof in an exclusive, harmonious and efficient way. In conclusion, the success of the Fair was the culmination of a series of changes and novelties that transformed the 2009 edition and set the path to a most promising 2010 edition.

12 300 visitors in 2009: An unprecedented phenomenal achievement

MONTREAL – INEO is very proud to announce that the 2009 edition of the National Job Fair was, without any doubts, a sensational success. A big achievement marked by a year of major changes, which were truly fruitful, starting with a new name for the event.

It is now clear that National Job Fair has claimed its place and is moving the forefront of key events that cannot be ignored for all organizations with recruitment needs in the Montreal Region.

The National Job Fair is pursuing its progression for a fourth year in a row – and it is done in a spectacular way with an attendance reaching 12 300 visitors, three times greater than before. The number of visitors dramatically increased, in line with the attendance objectives organizers had planned.

Same thing on the exhibitors’ side where 78 of them participated in the National Job Fair and 171 participated in the National Education Fair which is presented jointly. The total reached 249 participating organizations, to which we must add our 16 sponsors and partners. This, indeed, makes it the most important recruitment event in Canada.

This total also represents a fourth consecutive increase, the strongest since the Daniel Levesque (also the owner and founder of the National Job Fair & Training Expo of Toronto) made the acquisition of INEO in December 2005. One thing to remember, the National Job Fair is the only recruitment event which recorded a 26% increase in its number of exhibitors.

Sponsorship with New Brunswick Government

MONTREAL – INEO, the Montreal National Education Fair & the National Job Fair’s promoter is proud to announce that the Government of New Brunswick will be a major sponsor for the 2009 edition to be held at the Place Bonaventure from October 14 to 16. The Government of New Brunswick is participating in the Montreal fair – this follows their highly successful initiative at the spring edition of the Toronto National Job Fair & Training Expo, the Ontario division of the National Job Fair.

The Government of New Brunswick’s Population Growth Secretariat will be leading a recruitment mission along with a delegation of some 12 employers to the National Job Fair. Visitors to the Montreal fair will have direct access to New Brunswick employment opportunities from a wide range of sectors.

"With our sponsorship of this important event, we are sending the message to jobseekers across the country that New Brunswick is the place to be for individuals seeking both a great career and great quality of life,” said Greg Byrne, Minister of the Population Growth Secretariat. “I am confident that patrons of The National Job Fair will get a first-hand glimpse of all that New Brunswick has to offer when visiting our unique recruitment zone."

"It is the first time the Government of New Brunswick is involved in the Montreal National Education Fair & National Job Fair and we are proud they have decided to come this year as a major sponsor. Our mission is to support all initiatives in Quebec as well as at the national level. This new sponsorship shows what can be accomplished by joining forces to back up the employment needs in a specific province. We are grateful to the Government of New Brunswick for their involvement and trust in our recruitment event," says President and Show Manager Daniel Levesque.

New Brunswick’s employers will be featured in the New Brunswick Pavilion, part of the Employment Zone, and will be offering several hundred career opportunities in one of Canada’s most vibrant economies. Job seekers will be encouraged to be themselves, belong and be better in New Brunswick by interviewing with employers onsite and visiting www.NationalJobFairMontreal.com.

Attendees of The National Job Fair including job seekers, individuals willing to relocate and ready for a career change, as well as people looking for training and continuing education programs should not miss the opportunity to get to know more about this Eastern Canada province. There will also be information on how it is to run a small business in New Brunswick.

Growth in New Brunswick is real and it's happening now. Perhaps the best part about being in New Brunswick is that you can have more than just a great career. You can also have a great way of life. So why not make a career move to a place that moves you?

New Brunswick is a place where people can be successful because a dollar buys more and houses cost less. It is a place where people can be inspired by the province’s natural beauty and unique culture. Most of all it is a place where people can be adventurous by just walking out the door: most of the province’s urban centers are just minutes away from fishing, whale watching, hiking, swimming in the ocean or cycling along quiet trails.

This fall the National Job Fair will dazzle employers and job seekers in Montreal

MONTREAL – With a new name, a new logo, a distinct Exhibition Hall (adjacent to the National Education Fair), five new recruitment zones, exhibitors from at least four Canadian provinces, not to mention special projects, partnerships, the support of the Minister of Employment, the support of the Minister of Health and Social Services and more, never before has the National Job Fair been as dynamic as in 2009.

Introduction of three new zones for the 2009 edition

MONTREAL – The fair is gaining in notoriety and importance, and it is increasingly recognized across Canada. This era of dynamism is taking shape though multiple projects and new introductions that we are pleased to share with you. The most recent additions comprise the creation of three new zones of recruitment which speak of the scale of our network across the country. For our exhibitors, networking possibilities continue to increase.

NEW BRUNSWICK ZONE

This zone was created to welcome the dozen or so organisations along with the Government of New Brunswick who will be at the fair for the very first time in 2009. In looking to meet educated, qualified, talented and bilingual job seekers, exhibitors from New Brunswick have made the right choice by choosing to partner with the National Job Fair of Montreal to maximise their recruiting activities in Quebec. The Government of New Brunswick is participating in the Montreal fair – this follows their highly successful initiative at the spring edition of the Toronto National Job Fair & Training Expo, the Ontario division of the National Job Fair.

ONTARIO ZONE

Each year the National Job Fair welcomes exhibitors from the province of Ontario. This year, to further highlight their presence, an Ontario Zone has been created for the first time - this gives them a special place in our recruitment event. All the employers, service and training centres from Ontario will be gathered in this zone which will allow them to be highly visible and a point of focus that is accessible to all visitors who wish to find work or relocate in this province. Based on our seven-year long relationship with employers of Ontario thanks to The National Job Fair & Training Expo of Toronto, we are now consolidating our relations with Ontario and providing solutions for them in their diverse recruiting needs and helping them to secure candidates from out of province.

HEALTH ZONE

For the very first time this year, the National Job Fair is introducing a Health Zone in order to support organisations in the field of health care in their recruitment activities. Established for several years and with a strong alliance developed through the National Education Fair, the National Job Fair provides the best means to promote jobs in the field of health care. Our solid performance has been recognised through the support of the Honorable Yves Bolduc, Minister of Health and Social Services in Quebec.

For an efficient recruitment process!

MONTREAL – The 13th edition of the Training Career Fair of Montreal, which will be held on October 15 and 16 2008, is presented along with the Education Fair of Montreal at Place Bonaventure. The Fair will be held soon and, if not already done, you still have the time to book a place and benefit from the summer season to prepare your stand!

In 2008, the Quebec recruitment markets are changing, and the Training Career Fair of Montreal heads more than ever for employment!

Notice to employers: here are 10 reasons why you should choose the Training Career Fair:

1. Since we exclusively welcome a targeted clientele of motivated adult candidates, the success of the Training Career Fair of Montreal disrupts the Quebec career fair and training career fair markets.

2. The renting cost of our exhibition spaces is less than at other similar great fairs. Your investment will rapidly be profitable.

3. The development and the new orientation of the Training Career Fair of Montreal answers a need that is expressed by several exhibitors who are looking for a sound vigorous recruiting fair that is appealing to great motivated candidates.

4. Our exhibitors not only have taken into account the growing number of participants, but they have also realized that the quality of the candidates who are participating to the Training Career Fair on Montreal was better than at the other fairs they used to participate. The fact that the participants have to pay a $4.00 admission fee motivates the candidates to be more serious in their approach, which is to the advantage of the exhibitors.

5. The Training Career Fair of Montreal makes sure that the participating companies get the expected results and that they show a positive corporate image. Our team has a great experience in career fairs, since they took part in The National Job Fair & Training Expo of Toronto, the most important event of that kind, created 6 years ago.

6. The concept of the Training Career Fair of Montreal is based on a plurisectorial approach, which is the kind of recruitment that is the most effective for the exhibitors, since the personal needs of the companies can be fulfilled by a one and only event... in only two intensive days.

7. The Training Career Fair of Montreal is recognized for its unequalled customer service, its flexibility, its team spirit and its openmindness towards the business relations development and with its contributors, exhibitors, partners and sponsors.

8. The employers can combine: participation and advertising/visibility at the best cost, thanks to the Show Guide of the Journal de Montréal, which will be read by more than 1 million of readers on October 12, 2008, and an advertising campaign of more than $300,000 in media values.

9. The Training Career Fair policy is clear about the statistical data that will be divulged: to give the real information about the number of exhibitors, visitors and other information related to the attendance and assessment of the fair. Our expectations are reliable and realistic.

10. Compared to the 2007 edition, our fair is getting bigger and the interest has never been that important from hiring employers of all categories. A great number of companies choose the Training Career Fair of Montreal to guarantee them an efficient recruitment process that will meet their standards.

Maximize Your Networking

MONTREAL – Did you know that the Training Career Fair of Montreal, which will take place on October 15 and 16, 2008 at Place Bonaventure, is presented along with the Education Fair of Montreal? The gathering of these two major events constitutes a unique approach in Canada. Our concept gathers job seekers on one side and students on the other side, but each Fair will have its own entrance. Only the adult visitors may visit both fairs, in order to meet the recruiting objectives of the exhibitors who participate to any one of those fairs.

The Training Career Fair of Montreal is unique since it is the only career fair in the province of Quebec that allows recruiting employers and employability organisms to equally benefit from the participation of various education institutions. By participating to the Training Career Fair of Montreal, you will also have the opportunity to benefit from the Education Fair of Montreal, where you will discover several opportunities of partnership and direct contact with professional trainers, who train the workers of tomorrow: your candidates to-be!

You will also have the opportunity to communicate, to initiate new encounters, to build up precious and lasting relations with several colleges, school boards of the Greater Montreal Area, universities, specialized schools and the main ministries and governmental organisms, which are all proud partners of INEO, the #1 organizer of employment, career, training, and education events in Canada.

Make way for adults and tomorrow’s manpower

MONTREAL – The Training Career Fair is for adult candidates. This is clear once for all! In fact, it is the only adult job fair presented together with an education fair in Canada. More than ever, the labour market and the world of education are connected.

On one side of the exhibit hall, through a first specific entrance, the Training Career Fair is welcoming thousands of adult candidates looking for jobs, adults looking for tools to improve their career development, adults looking for a career change, adults in process to integrate or to reintegrate the labour market.

On the other side of the exhibit hall, through a second specific entrance, the Education Fair is greeting thousands of teenagers exploring programs and career options. They are tomorrow’s manpower.

Employment and education under the same roof in two distinctive fair allows maximizing communication channels between those two worlds. This “hot” concept brings those two worlds to constantly evolve to the boiling point!

Strengthening your investment

MONTREAL – By participating to the Training Career Fair of Montreal, exhibitors are investing wisely in the development or their organization. It is legitimate that they want to make sure their investment will have been used efficiently and will generate results.

It is actually not always easy to measure the fallout from your participation to public events. The most common mistake is to only base your results on number of visitors met or recruited on site. It is a mistake because we know that participation to public events can generate results for over six months after the event. In fact, the fair is one of the most efficient media for its outstanding range. And, event more, the most interactive media!

Several measures can be used to maximize your recruitment at the fair, as well as to collect precious information on the visitors who stopped by your booth and to make a follow-up after the event. Your communicational approach, the design of your booth, the animations presented such as demonstrations, contests, draws, quiz and skill tests are many ways to help you establish a personalized and unforgettable contact. Here is precisely what you need to do: To make sure the candidates will remember you by developing your own winning approach!

Internet, can’t make it alone…

MONTREAL – The arrival of Internet has contributed to disrupt people’s life habits. From now on, with just a single click of the mouse, we have a direct access to a mass of information and we can apply on a vast number of jobs. And today, any serious organization has a website.

Everything would be perfect if the human being would not have five senses. In fact, being able to touch, to feel, to experiment, to exchange, to question, to listen, to have encounters, to live experiences in a real world are essential. And that’s what the Training Career Fair is all about: a direct contact, honest, straight and strong, a first impression, an exchange, a selection of candidates on-site.

The Training Career Fair is an effective recruitment tool that must be part of your global recruitment campaign to access motivated and experienced candidates. When we know that the first minute of an interview with a potential candidate has a decisive impact in the hiring process, we already understood the importance to attend the Training Career Fair.

A very special guest!

MONTREAL – During the last edition of the Training Career Fair in October 2007, we had the pleasure to welcome the Minister of the Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale du Québec, Mr. Sam Hamad. The visit from the Minister is also a great recognition of the status and role the Training Career Fair plays in the Greater Montreal Area employment market.

In an interview to the reporter Nicolas Deslauriers for Les Réussites du Québec broadcast at Canal Savoir, Mr. Hamad mentioned how much impressed he was with all the people attending the fairs to access employment opportunities and to gather information on trades. He also underlined the importance of the matching between the two fairs distinctive concepts: The adults in job search process at the Training Career Fair and the youth who are exploring their career options at the Education Fair.

The video clip of this interview is now available online on our website homepage (in French only).

Making way for the regions

MONTREAL – For its 13th edition in 2008, the Training Career Fair is making a path leading to Quebec regions. Started in 2007 with a partnership with the Quebec Region, one of our goals for 2008 is to extend this approach to other regions of the province. Regional employers in need of manpower will take advantage of the Fair to recruit valuable candidates from the Greater Montreal Area population.

As we know, several regions experience an important lack of manpower. By developing partnerships and creating privilege bridges with some of them, the participating regions will benefit from the unique positioning of the Training Career Fair on the Quebec recruitment events market for the general public.

Choosing the right fair

MONTREAL – Generally, when comes the time to choose a fair, most companies take into consideration the number of visitors. However, other facts are as important and should be also considered. Here are a few for you to be convinced to choose the Training Career Fair to fulfill your recruitment needs

First, the quality of the attending candidates contributes event more to a successful event. Exhibitors have noted that the visitors of the Training Career Fair were of quality. In fact, they said it was the best attendance amongst the fairs they taken part in 2006.

The progression of the fair during the past years, its development and novelties, its capability to constantly renew according to the job market and training changes, as well as its strategic alliances, its collaboration with the Quebec Government for over 10 years, its dynamic team and its sensitivity to the needs of the companies are other factors to consider.

Innovative ideas, special projects implementation, unequalled customer service, open mind attitude, flexibility, team spirit, integrity and professionalism towards our sponsors, partners, exhibitors and visitors – all this pushes the limits of efficiency for quality recruitment and makes our approach unique.

Like our two other fairs, the Education Fair of Montreal and The National Job Fair & Training Expo of Toronto, the Training Career Fair quickly became the reference of the job and career fair industry in Quebec.

The Training Career Fair of Montreal has it all to guarantee a successful experience, expected results and a positive corporate image to all the participating organizations, because it is its priority.
